  Technical Consultant - JOB CODE: NTC110

Role Description:
Technical Consultants are individuals who participate in a wide range of IT and operations-related consulting engagements such as: Server & Storage Consolidation, virtualization, data center migration strategy, and optimization.

Required Skills & Experience:   

• Strong understanding of data center operations including production operations, server, storage, network , database management, systems management, help desk, DR/ Business Recovery practices, etc. 
• Ability to analyze client's environments including existing data center processes and technology 
• Experience or exposure to various storage technologies such as IBM, EMC, HDS, Netapp, etc. 
• Exposure to Business Continuity and or/ Disaster Recovery planning
• Experience with data center operations and migration

General Skills Required:

• Ability to translate business requirements into technology requirements 
• Project management skills including work planning, estimating, meeting facilitation, and issue resolution 
• Ability to conduct detailed analysis of business problems and technical environments 
• Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem solving environment
• Strong Oral and written communication skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Ability to communicate both to technical teams as well as to business users and management
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

General Experience Required:

• 3 years related experience or a minimum of 3 complete project implementations 
• Experience in a professional services environment preferred 

Education:

• Undergraduate or Masters degree preferred in Engineering, Computer Science, or MIS
